Introduction
Technological advancements have changed the way warfare is looked at in the 21st century. Traditionally, the battlefield has been viewed as a confrontation between state actors through systematic military strategies. Territorial gains, neutralisation of enemy combatants, and political repercussions determined the victor in a conflict. This influenced military operational guidelines, strategic planning and frameworks of national security around the world. Recent technological advancements have, however, made the traditional models of warfare outdated, as wars are now shifting away from tanks and troops.
