Lieutenant General Sunil Srivastava, AVSM, VSM** (Retd) was commissioned in the Regiment of Artillery in 1981. He has commanded a Field Artillery Regiment and an Infantry Brigade on the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir and an Infantry Division on the Line of Actual Control in the North-East. He thereafter served as Senior Faculty for over two years at the prestigious National Defence College, New Delhi. As a Lt Gen, he served as the Chief of Staff, HQ Eastern Command. He was the Commandant of Officers Training Academy at Gaya for two years before he superannuated in Dec 2020. He was appointed Director, CENJOWS in January 2021.

Brigadier (Dr.) Rajeev Bhutani was commissioned in the Indian Army in June 1977. During his service, he held varied command and staff appointments in insurgency affected Northeast and J & K, in the High Altitude border with China and in the Directorate General of Military Operations at Army Headquarters. He commanded an Infantry Brigade on Indo-Pak border and thereafter one of the largest Sub Area of Indian Army before superannuating in March 2011. He is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Army War College and Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS), Honululu, Hawaii, USA. He holds D.Phil from the Central University of Allahabad. He has been a Senior Fellow at CENJOWS since Apr 2017 and has authored numerous articles, issue papers and has contributed to blogs. He has authored three books titled “Rise of China: 2030 and Its Strategic Implications”, “Sino-Indian Equation: Competition+Cooperation-Confrontation” & 'Aatma Nirbhar Bharat (Self- reliant India): Challanges and Opportunities'.

Gp Capt Amitabh Mathur (Retd) has served in the Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) Branch for 33 years. He was Senior Research Fellow at Centre for Air Power Studies, prior to joining CENJOWS. His specialisation is the field of operations and maintenance of surface to air guided weapons, maintenance of electronic warfare and specialist air borne weapon systems. He has undergone courses at DSSC Wellington and CDM Secunderabad. He hold publications with Air Power Journals, Asian defence Review, Defence and Diplomacy.

Group Captain Puneet Bhalla is a helicopter pilot of the Indian Air Force, with more than 4000 hours of flying experience in diverse roles, covering most regions of the country. He has also served as a member of the UN Mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy Khadakwasla and Defence Services Staff College Wellington. His area of interest is technology and its application in support of national security. He has published numerous papers and written articles on issues related to Outer Space, Unmanned Systems and Cyber Security and has authored a book titled “Space Security – Emerging Technologies and Trends.”

Cdr Naveen Pandita is an alumni of RIMC, NDA and DSSC. He is a Naval Aviator, with more than 3000 hrs of Flying Experience. He has Commanded INS Agray and INAS 314.

Ms Ulupi Borah is a Doctoral Researcher of International Relations and Security Studies. She has pursued her M.Phil and PhD from the School of International Studies (Centre for Indo- Pacific Studies), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Ms Borah is the first Indian to receive the Japan Student Service Organisation (JASSO) scholarship offered by the Government of Japan in 2019. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor in the School for Defence and Strategic Studies, Rashtriya Raksha University, an Institution of National Importance, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. She has published several peer reviewed articles and chapters in leading platforms such as Taylor and Francis, Economic and Political Weekly and Centre for Policy Analysis.
